Like, my teeth are white now, but they aren't noticeably white, like on TV and the packet, and like my sisters. What the heck? Did I do something wrong?

The same thing happened to me! It only whitened the outline of my teeth and even that went away. All I got out of it was irritated gums. I tried a paste made of baking soda and hydrogen peroxide and brushed my teeth with it. That did a better job. It didn't look as white as the commercials, but it did a better job than the Crest Whitestrips.

They are junk. Get a bleach kit from your dentist. It's way better and actually works
ReplyDeleteIt depends on how white your teeth were to begin with. Everyone wants "blue-white" teeth like the celebrities, but you can't get that from over-the-counter products like these; nor should you necessarily want that because it's not a natural look (in my opinion.) Your tooth enamel may be more translucent (lets the light through) than your sister's so they may not appear as white as hers. Everyone' s different. You could wait a few weeks and try the whitestrips again, if you like. Just don't overdo them because it could cause some sensitivity.
ReplyDeleteBaking soda and peroxide work better! try it. Its cheap and it makes your teeth very white and they stay that way.

ReplyDeleteI tried the "Crest White Strips" and they were even expired. They worked fine with me.
I have also done the professional dentist bleaching trays. They worked but found it was very sensitive and was a bit uncomfortable.
I much rather use "Colgate Total Whitening" and Baking Soda and rinse with hydrogen peroxide and then a wedge of lemon when needed. (don't to lemon too often )

I bought mine at "ALTA"
they came in this white tube with a sponge like minty thing that you crack the 2 chemicals together and rub on your teeth. It made my teeth the whitest I have ever seen them.
*But I drink coffee so, you have to be careful !
