Metal is the best.

if you aren't in college or aren't an adult, i'd get it.

if your in highschool then depends on your insecurities also.

i don't care about my teeth because i know they will look a billion times better than before so i just want to get them over with (so i picked the metal ones) and i'm in highschool.

it's the fastest and it never breaks.

i never worry about chewing on gum or hard candy. i BITE in my sleep actually and i bite literally ON the brackets because of my overbite and they have never fallen out or anything.



Ceramics is more of a hidden kind thats second best. its good for when you really are disgusted with the look of braces. if it emotionally would drain you or something, i'd get that.


invisaline is really something i'd use if i was an adult or a celebrity. braces aren't that bad on people. its actually so normal in america. (if that's where you're from)


how long?

you should tell your parents to take you to an orthodontist. they give you a free check up where all they do is tell you to open your mouth. they look for a few seconds and then they tell you the estimate time and what type of braces are allowed on your teeth.

then you get the choice if you want to use that orthodontist (i did a few of these till i met an orthodontist that seemed to work hard and gave a good price)



i had an 80% overbite, 2 snaggle tooths (top left and right corner of my mouth) (i'm sorry i forgot the names of those teeth.) and a lot of crooked teeth on the bottom row and they said a year and a half to 2 years. my front teeth are bigger than all the others. the size of the tooth is never a problem (just as long as they aren't so fricken tiny that the braces won't even fit)
